Michelle Zorich’s vision of Things of Steel was inspired in 1997. Born and raised in Chicago, Michelle came to Michigan for its beauty and stayed for her passion – metal art. She holds a BFA in interior design and is self-taught; welding her way to a new career and a business, that has attained award winning status for the wonderful art produced by Things of Steel.
KATHERINE I Metal Artist
Katherine Martin, a native of Michigan, joined Michelle and Things of Steel in 2001 and discovered the artist within. Leaving her previous career to jump into this entrepreneurial, creative business, she found a passion for shaping metal and bringing her creativity and inner thoughts to life. The unanticipated, successful collaboration between Michelle and Katherine has propelled the business forward.
